A blood glucose test is a blood test that screens for diabetes by measuring the level of glucose (sugar) in a person’s blood. This test involves taking a small finger prick sample of blood after which the pharmacist will tell you if your blood sugar levels fall within the normal range.
For a simple blood sugar test, the most accurate results will be achieved just after you wake up, before a meal, or at least two hours after a meal.
